Hospital Based Cardiovascular Disease Registry and Patterns of care for Heart failure in North-East Region of India (HBCVDR-NE)
Objectives
The objectives of HBCVDR-NE are to describe the patterns of Cardiovascular Disease (CVDs) and to describe the pattern of care and outcomes of heart failure cases in north-east region of India. HBCVDR-NE registry is systematically collecting data on clinical presentation, diagnosis of CVD and Heart Failure (HF) cases. Additional information on HF cases attending a hospital is collected to understand the treatment and clinical outcomes over the period of time. To understand the clinical outcomes all, the cases diagnosed as heart failure are followed up on 30, 90 & 180 days.
HBCVDR-NE registry includes data of all the CVD cases, age ≥ 16 years, who are diagnosed as having CVD, attending OP or admitted and treated at the participating centre. The data is abstracted from the hospital records of cases being treated in the identified institutes in the north east region of India and the data is directly entered in the digital tool for reporting to ICMR NCDIR server. This registry will provide data on clinical presentations and spectrum of CVDs and associated co-morbidities, treatment patterns & in-hospital outcomes of CVD and HF cases in north east region of India. The findings of study can help to improve clinical management of CVD and HF cases in this region of the country.
